PILATES

MOVEMENT IS KEY

Move better. Feel stronger. Understand your body.

For me, Pilates is about more than getting through a workout. It’s a way to build strength, improve mobility and move with more control, while developing a better understanding of your body and what it needs.

What we need from movement can look different for everyone - and even change from one day to the next. Sometimes that means challenging yourself and building strength; other times it might mean slowing things down, working on mobility or simply taking some time to move and reset.

From private and group sessions to events, corporate wellbeing, collaborations and wellness spaces, I want to create Pilates experiences with purpose - where people can feel better in their bodies, learn something new, experience a sense of achievement, connect with others or simply take some time for themselves.

Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or looking to develop your existing practice, Mat and Reformer Pilates can be used to explore strength, stability, mobility, flexibility, balance and coordination - helping you move well in your sessions and beyond them.

ABOUT RADHIKA

I believe movement is about so much more than exercise. It’s a way to build strength, look after your body, clear your head and create time that’s entirely for you. That’s what Pilates has given me over the past seven years, and ultimately what made me want to teach it to others.

My own practice has supported me through very different stages of life - from busy desk-job days and everyday stress to periods of recovery when the amount I could do looked very different. It’s taught me that movement doesn’t always have to be about pushing harder or doing more. Sometimes it’s about understanding what your body needs, working with what you have that day and building from there. I love that Pilates can challenge the whole body while developing strength, mobility, stability and control - and that there is always something more to learn.

I decided to train as a teacher to deepen my own understanding and share something that has played such a positive role in my life.

My own experiences, alongside supporting people I love through difficult periods in our lives - physical and mental health, have given me an even greater appreciation for the role movement can play and how different that can look from one person, or one day, to the next. I chose to train with BASI Pilates, an internationally recognised Pilates education provider known for its academic excellence, innovation, and blending the classical Pilates method with contemporary scientific and anatomical knowledge. Whether I’m teaching one-to-one, a group, online, in a studio or as part of an event or collaboration, I want people to understand more about the movement they’re doing, rather than simply following along. Most importantly, I want you to finish feeling like you’ve moved, given your body what it needed that day - whether that was a challenge or something a little more restorative - and understand your body a little better than when we started.

I’m committed to continuing my education as a teacher, with plans to develop my knowledge across areas including rehabilitation, women’s health, cancer, oestiperosis, athletic performance and neurological Pilates.
